The Training Department of the National Film Institute (NFI) plays a key role in strengthening the Hungarian audiovisual sector by developing the skills, knowledge, and professional networks of current and future film industry professionals. Its activities are designed to address the long-term competitiveness and sustainability of the Hungarian film ecosystem by supporting targeted professional trainings, career orientation, learning by doing experiences and training grants. Through the lectures, workshops and masterclasses of the Fast Forward Program, the practice-oriented boot camps, training grants, research projects and working groups the department offers opportunities for students, emerging talents and even established professionals to acquire up-to-date, hands-on knowledge from leading practitioners. By mapping industry needs, supporting specialized training fields and encouraging international exchange, the Training Department contributes to building a resilient professional pipeline and a dynamic creative community within Hungarian cinema.
