Eurocine, an industry-led gathering, announces its 2026 edition in Budapest, 8-9th May, marking the city as a key meeting point for the future of international screen culture.
Now rebranded simply as Eurocine, the platform has evolved beyond film to embrace television, immersive storytelling and emerging screen technologies. It reflects a wider shift across the industry: production is no longer peripheral, but central to the global industry.
Eurocine is a meeting place to connect, learn, engage, build new business, and see the latest tech. Designed as a hub rather than a marketplace, the event will bring together filmmakers, producers, directors, cinematographers and craftspeople across different disciplines and experience levels.
The 2026 edition will be hosted at Hungexpo, with strategic support from Hungary’s National Film Institute (NFI), and with the official partnership of the Hungarian Society of Cinematographers, the Hungarian Cinematographers Association, Budapest Film Academy, IMAGO, IMAGO Technical Committee, Women in Cinematography, alongside a growing network of international cultural and industry partners to be announced.
Additionally, The Production Guild of Great Britain (PGGB) joins Eurocine as an official partner, marking a collaboration rooted in inclusion, growth, and shared opportunities. Through this partnership, PGGB members will enjoy a special FAM? experience, offering exclusive insight into the event and the region’s creative and production opportunities.
Budapest is mainland Europe’s largest production destination, and host to a wealth of international projects, making it a natural home for Eurocine’s next chapter. The city’s creative energy, infrastructure and production expertise align with Eurocine’s ambition to create a thoughtful, industry-led and internationally agile gathering.
Across two days, Eurocine 2026 will feature:

Each edition of Eurocine is developed in close collaboration with its host city, working alongside local institutions, film bodies and educational partners to create a programme that reflects regional identity while engaging with wider European and international industry trends.
